Hi.
I was wondering if other users who downloaded skype 3.20 had the same problem.
I personally found that the options dialogue in tools is not as accessible as it used to be. First of all the save button is not accessible with tabbing so we can't save the changes we made and also it is not possible to change tabs between general, privacy, notifications etc. With earlier versions of skype we could do this with up and down.
I hope you understand what i mean. I know we can find the save button with jaws cursor or other mouse simulations that other screen readers have but i think it is strange because usually skype improove their accessibility in latest versions than making it worst.
I tried this with hal and jaws.
So if you want you can share your oppinion about the new skype options dialogue.

I know exactly what you mean.
The only way to do this now is by looking for the tabs with the jaws Curser.
Save and Cansel are at the bottum.
Otherwise the new skype is fine.

It was beta untill Thursday may the nineth.
So as soon as it was out of beta i tried it but now i wish i stayed with the previous version.
But in general it is not bad.

Is there any real eeason to upgrade to the latest version? I still have bersion 2.5, but haven't found a real reason to upgrade from that yet. This comes from someone though that still runs winamp 2.91.

I am glad to report that the latest version of skype 3.2.0.148 which was released two days ago has got better accessibility in the options dialogue.
In General i agree with you Scot that as long as programs work there is no need to update. and probably for you the new version wouldn't be any different but for me latest versions of skype seams to work much better with my university network and sound quality keeps improving. So with skype i would recommend people to keep updating because skype usually gives better software in each update and they seam to care about accessibility as well which is good. It is impressive how they fixed the options dialogue in less than a week time.

I agree on the sound quality.
In the latest skype there's no background hissing noise which is nice.

I updated to the new skype, but when someone calls, the window doesn't pop up. I have to open skype, go to my contact list, hit alt C, aarow down, and hit enter. lol, as you can imagine, it's quite aggravating. so, does it do that with yall? why? how do I fix it? lol.

I think you can set a shortcut to answer a call. Go to options and find the hotkeys tab. But i don't know if you can make the window to pop up. But if you don't have scripts or don't have the skype reader from randylaptop.com you wouldn't know who is ringing before answering by not going to the skype window.
I think people complained in the past for skype poping up the window after somebody was ringing so i think there are people who like it now and others who don't. Personally i wish the window appeared as well.

Ok, with the new vertion, if you go to the notifications tab, and the first option by default says show tray allert, if you up arrow, it says skype call allert. Assumedly that will pop up a window again. not certain, but that is my gues.
